On our more than 50 years of doing ministry work in the Philippines, World Vision is blessed to gain various support from its existing sponsors/ donors and supporters through their testimonies. Most of all, World Vision is also proud of sharing some stories of transformation about our former sponsored children themselves whose lives have been changed because they were given the opportunity through Child Sponsorship.
“There are many sacrifices and hard choices made but it was all worth it because it is for our beloved angels. This is the same experience I have had with being a mother to our sponsored children. There were times when life was hard and it was so easy to give up sponsoring our children due to ever increasing expenses and challenges in life but we were committed to helping our sponsored children have a better future.”

In tribute to all faithful sponsors who have continued to keep their pledge to support World Vision children for 5 and 10 years, World Vision hosted a Loyal Donor Dinner on March 15. Over 150 sponsors gathered for a night of great fun, fellowship, and food.

During his free time, he volunteers with World Vision capturing a reality of the lives of the less fortunate. Efren Peñaflorida, a World Vision former sponsored child was nominated for CNN’s Heroes Awards - a citation given to ordinary people who have accomplished extraordinary deeds. It spotlights people who are making a good contribution to society, helping make a difference in the world.
The work Efren does championing the cause of children is nothing short of heroism. And it wasn’t long until his work reached halfway around the world and was recognized by nothing less than CNN.
