Church Partnership

Bryant Myers, author of Walking With the Poor, defines Transformational Development as seeking positive change in the whole of human life materially, socially, and spiritually.

For World Vision, Transformational Development is a process and actions through which children, families and communities move toward fullness of life with dignity, justice, peace and hope, as the Bible describes the Kingdom of God.

We pursue TD by forging partnerships with individuals, churches, corporations, schools, government agencies, and other organizations.

We recognize that TD is a lifelong journey which requires everyone to be on board. It is about finding and enjoying life as it should be, as it was intended to be.

Believing that spiritual transformation is integral to transformational development and that the Church is God’s sustaining instrument in the world, World Vision’s commitment is to work with churches as indispensable partners, while continuing to engage the total community.”(Preamble of Church Partnership Policy)
