Gifts In Kind (GIKs) or non-monetary gifts, include donated products, services and expertise. GIKs are products that the field projects of World Vision area development programs can effectively use to accomplish their program objectives.

• Tackling the causes of poverty
• Empowering the community
• Multiple Ministries
• Ministry led

To wit, GIK should:

• Meaningfully contribute to the achievement of the program or project objectives and outcomes, or be utilised in the short term for relationship building or influence; and
• Be cost effective to provide, compared to local prices and availability; and
• Not harm local markets or the environment

Please note that some GIKs are not free resources.  Some GIKs might entail sourcing and programming costs such as staffing, storage, shipment, customs/clearance, transportation and distribution.
