Sectoral Projects
Your company can partner with World Vision, which has more than 50 years of experience in community organizing and development. World Vision’s various programs that are all geared towards its vision of fullness for every child includes the promotion of quality education, good health, economic sustainability, respect for the rights and leadership development of every child.

EDUCATION

Building/ Rehabilitation of School facilities
World Vision works with schools and communities in building safe and decent classrooms conducive for studying. World Vision sees to it that children are able to learn and sit on sturdy chairs and desks and teachers are able to teach on well-built blackboards. World Vision also assists in restorations of Day Care Centers and Mini Libraries.

Tutorial Programs
Literacy or tutorial programs through supplementary exercises, remedial studies, etc. are provided for those children with special academic needs. Community Information Centers are established to provide internet connectivity and better access to knowledge and information for both the students and teachers.

Teacher and School Staff Training
Workshops, training and seminars on capacity building are constantly provided for WV field staff and teachers to equip them and make them more effective in educating and caring for the children.

Progress Evaluation
Teachers and WV staff closely monitor and evaluate the academic progress and extracurricular involvement of every child.

HEALTH

Feeding and Nutrition
Operation Timbang is done to identify the initial health status of the children in program. Children
in need of extra nourishment are closely monitored and are provided with supplementary medication to improve their health. Children and families are given access to these health programs implemented in coordination with the Local Health Units, DOH & DSWD.

Health Facilities
Improvement and sanitation of health facilities are vital as we adapt to technological changes and address the treatment and health care of the patients.

Medical Missions
This is done to constantly and consistently monitor the health and dental condition of the children to ensure proper development and growth.

LIVELIHOOD

Skill Training and Development
Mothers and fathers are provided skill trainings such as carpentry, handicrafts, and food processing among others, to equip them for job opportunities and enable them to have means of livelihood.

Income Generating Projects
Mothers and fathers are given capacity building workshops on starting up small-scale businesses and other income generating projects. These trainings are able to provide opportunities that can augment their economic status.

Microfinance
Community Economic Ventures (CEV) is a parallel organization of World Vision supporting the Area Development Project solely on economic matters like money lending. Existing small-scale entrepreneurs or family businesses are given the opportunity to improve the status of their livelihood activities so they could generate more income and sustain their needs.

UTILITIES

Water Supply
Water system developments like the provision of jetmatic pumps, faucets, etc are built depending on the specific needs of the communities.

Electricity
Electrification systems are set up in communities especially in remote areas where it is much needed. Non- conventional electrification facilities like for example solar panels are built to improve the communities’ way of life.
